A couple days ago I set up a VM. This is Ubuntu 12.04.3 32 bits. I have full access to my NVIDIA card. Driver 331.17 was installed.So this is just a simple demo to show that proprietary NVIDIA driver works perfectly with this card hard-moded to GRID K2. High resolutions (2 screens: 2560x1440, 1920x1080) work too Before I set up another VM. It was Linux mint 15 64 Bits. It worked too

Today someone sent me a mail informing me that he was able to soft-moding his GTX 480 to Quadro 6000. I really appreciated it. As a simple reminder explanations are provided here. Here is the mail I received

J'ai découvert cette youtubeuse aujourd'hui. Le maquillage est à mille année-lumière de mes centres d'intérêt notamment l'informatique. J'ai regardé les 31 minutes du début à la fin sans zapper. Témoignage intéressant! La superficialité de certains points remontés par cette youtubeuse ont attiré mon attention. Je m'attendais à tout entendre concernant les retours faits par les curieux/abonnées à cette youtubeuse mais pas à un niveau aussi bas/inattendu. Les retours des commentaires/questions m'ont vraiment sidérés.

Il s'agit d'un coup de gueule qui se justifie parfaitement à mon sens!

Today I was able to hard-mod my MSI card to a GRID K2 by removing a few resistors. It works great as expected!
Fig 1 - MSI GTX 670 Card I decided to do as I did last time (no soldering iron). Done in my kitchen with a simple knife and gas stove -- for fire --.
