Those cards should give nice performance with Gallium Nine.
Card | Comment |
---|---|
HD 7970 | Tested with more than 45 games/projects |
R9 280X | It is a HD 7970 OC. Performance should be almost the same |
R9 290 | Pretty good card. Should get good performance on game like Final Fantasy XIV |
R9 290X | Pretty good card. Should get good performance on game like Final Fantasy XIV |
Notice: when I wrote "nice performances" keep it mind that performances depends on (It is really important to write it ? So Obvious!!!)
- The game. Whatever your card is performance (sometime) should be almost the same (high or low).
- New/Removed implementations in Mesa/RadeonSI/Gallium-Nine. You can have good performances for old versions and bad performances with new versions. With DarkSider II in the past I was not able to use Gallium Nine. Now we get 60 FPS for this game.
For January 2016 I plan to reuse my R9 290X just for the fun for a couple of games. Just to see if this card will do its job with Gallium-Nine/RadeonSI. My pretty old HD 7970 card was used for more than one year and one month.
